find help

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Getting started can feel overwhelming. Many of us felt the same way. This is a place where you can take a breath, ask questions, and move at your own pace.

If you are looking for help, you are in the right place.

This is where to begin. We’ll show you what to do next and where to go.

If you are not ready yet, that's okay.

Some people come to meetings right away. Others need time. You can read, listen, talk with someone you trust, and keep learning at your own pace. When you are ready, we will be here.

Join us at the beginner's meeting.

Held every Wednesday at 6pm in the Suburban North Alano Club basement meeting space. Learn from seasoned AA members, meet other newcomers, and plant your feet firmly into your recovery journey.

What to expect when you come to a meeting

Most people feel unsure at first. That is okay. You can sit, listen, and get a feel for how meetings work. You will not be singled out. You only share if and when you are ready.

No pressure.

Say hello or stay quiet. Both are welcome.

You will hear people share their experience and what helps them.

Stay after to talk or leave when the meeting ends.
