An Alano Club is a nonprofit community space that hosts recovery meetings. It is not a treatment program. It is simply a safe, consistent place where groups can gather and people can connect, listen, and find support on their recovery journey.
Most meetings include a short reading or introduction, followed by either a speaker sharing or a group discussion on a topic. You’re welcome to simply listen until you feel comfortable participating.
No. All meetings at Suburban North Alano Club are walk-in friendly. Just arrive a few minutes early to get settled.
Meetings are free. Many groups pass a basket to help cover rent and supplies, but giving is optional.
No. You are never required to speak. Listening is a meaningful way to take part, especially when you’re new.

For most meetings, yes—unless the meeting is listed as “closed.” Closed meetings are for people who identify with the program. Open meetings welcome everyone, including supporters.
